Carabao Cup First Round Draw

Argyle will kick-off their Carabao Cup campaign with a home fixture against Queens Park Rangers on the weekend of 5 September.

The Pilgrims face their Sky Bet Championship opponents in competitive action for the first time since March 2010, when QPR defeated the Greens 2-0 at Loftus Road in a second-tier league fixture.

A win for Ryan Lowe’s side will equal last season’s Carabao Cup effort, when they reached the second round after a victory over Sky Bet League Two side Leyton Orient at Home Park.

In the second round, Ryan Taylor and Jose Baxter netted for Argyle in a 2-4 defeat to Championship side Reading, who struck twice late on to secure victory in a thriller.

Supporters are reminded that, in compliance with government guidance, there will be no in-person attendance, and further information on live coverage will be available in due course.
