Manager – John McGreal
A powerful defender in his playing days, McGreal came through the ranks at Tranmere before earning a big-money move to Ipswich Town, helping the Suffolk club win promotion to the Premier League. He finished his playing career at Burnley and moved into management with Colchester in 2016.

Pre-Match View
“This is the test now of the psyche of the group after a reverse like this. Now is the test this week, against a strong Plymouth team. We just have to be careful that we don’t get too overly frustrated as a collective, because the boys have been on an unbelievable run to get ourselves into this healthy position.” John McGreal, speaking after the late loss to Cambridge last weekend.
