TICKET sales for our New Year’s Day top-of-the-table Sky Bet League Two clash against Swindon Town at Home Park indicate a healthy appetite for the football being served up by Ryan Lowe and his players.
Since the opening of the new Mayflower Grandstand, and with today’s game against the Robins seeing it reach full capacity for the first time, we have also noticed an appetite for off-the-pitch goodies.
So, we are making sure supporters using the grandstand are well catered for. From 11.30am on match-day, a range of food and drink will be available in a fan zone outside the Mayflower.
This includes: Little Fish Hut, who do a neat line in barbecue favourites, hot and soft drinks, and alcohol; Bite Me Catering, who serve up loaded fries with a selection of toppings, and drinks; a British Burger Bar, again with hot and soft drinks; and a Trailer Bar.
Supporters will be able to sing when they are munching, too, with pre-match entertainment courtesy of Jeff ‘the Horse’ Horsey.
Admission to the fan zone is free.
New Year’s Day 2020 will long be remembered as one of the great days in Plymouth Argyle history, as the magnificent new Mayflower Grandstand will be fully open for the first time when Swindon Town visit in Sky Bet League Two. We will also be helping to launch Mayflower 400 – from Plymouth to the world.
