Level Playing Field

Tuesday’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Wigan Athletic at Home Park will be our annual Level Playing Field ‘Weeks of Action’ fixture.

Level Playing Field is an organisation which works to ensure that disabled fans can freely access and enjoy live sport.

From 27 February-14 March, fans, clubs, disabled supporters’ associations and other partners across England and Wales will come together to celebrate the immense power of attending live sport can have on a person’s wellbeing.

In May 2020, Level Playing Field surveyed close to 600 disabled supporters from across the football pyramid. 62% of respondents stated that if they were unable to return to live sport this season, they fear it would have a considerable impact on their own personal wellbeing.

Live sport provides community, energy, choice, and a sense of unity. That is why this year's Weeks of Action are as vital as ever in highlighting the importance of live sport with fans.

Members of the Pilgrims' squad will wear Level Playing Field shirts during the warm-up at Home Park on Tuesday night, while a Level Playing Field flag will also be on display alongside supporters' flags inside the stadium.

In addition, to further evidence our support for the 17th season of the Weeks of Action campaign, the club has donated virtual match sponsorship to the Plymouth Argyle Disabled Supporters Association (PADSA).

Included in the match sponsorship package, PADSA will receive a number of iFollow match codes to distribute to their members, alongside social media, club website and programme recognition, and a squad signed shirt.

James Greenacre, Head of Commercial Operations, said: “We are delighted to once again support the Level Playing Field campaign, and it is a privilege to be able to gift our virtual match sponsorship to PADSA for this fixture.

“Clearly, there remains work to be done in making football an accessible and inclusive sport for all, and, in line with our Vision and Values, we at Argyle are committed to playing our part.”

A number of virtual match sponsorships are available for the Sky Bet League One run-in. If you, or your business, would like to explore how a match-day package can benefit you, email commercial@pafc.co.uk for more information.
