Aaron Taylor

Date of birth

180 cm

AARON has proved to be a versatile player, playing in a number of positions effectively.

He is from Westward Ho in North Devon and attended Bideford College. Prior to joining the Academy in 2011 he played for his local side Bideford Blues.

Aaron has shown great strength of character and determination; he broke his leg playing in the under 15s nearly four seasons ago, but worked extremely hard to recover from this setback and showed tremendous commitment considering the distances he travelled for training and treatment.

He broke into the under 18s team as a schoolboy during the 2014-15 season where he made five appearances with three starts. He played a significant part in the 2015-16 season’s success, winning the Youth Alliance League and promotion to the Peninsula Premier League.

Last season Aaron again produced some very assured performances with good defensive qualities as a holding midfield player in the Youth Alliance/Merit  League and Peninsula fixtures. After completing a two-year apprenticeship, Aaron was offered a professional development contract by Argyle manager Derek Adams.
