Harry Hodges

Date of birth

A right back from Plymouth, Harry attended Manadon Vale Primary School and began his football journey when he joined Dave Smith’s Soccer School prior to joining Tamarside Kings Football Club.

Harry attended Ivybridge Community College and has represented Plymouth Schoolboys at all age groups.  He registered with the Academy in 2009 as an U10 after attending the Plymouth Development Centre at Stoke Damerel. He was a member of the squad that reached the semi-final of the Northern Ireland Milk Cup in 2014.

Harry is comfortable when in possession of the ball and looks to break forward to support the attack, providing good quality crosses. He made his debut for the Under 18’s as well as playing in the Youth Alliance, Merit League and Peninsula League during 2015/16 season when the team won the League and promotion to the Peninsula Premier League.

Harry has given assured defensive performances demonstrating his reliability in Alliance League/Merit and Peninsula fixtures; gaining well-balanced game time as a result.

He also produced a confident display when selected to play in an experienced reserve squad towards the end of 2016-17 season against Witheridge, scoring his first goal at Home Park. Harry also gained some exposure in Central League fixtures as well captaining the team in the early rounds of the successful FA Youth cup run. Derek Adams has awarded him a one-year professional contract in summer 2018.
