A young goalkeeper from Exeter who has progressed through our Exeter Centre of Excellence before joining the Academy as an eleven-year-old in 2009.

Michael started his playing career with his local team the West Hill Wasps Under 11’s. He attended St Peter’s School in Lympstone prior to joining Plymouth College. Michael was a young member of the 2013-14 season's successful Milk Cup squad reaching the semi-finals against the Corinthians; starting in all the fixtures.

He made his under 18s debut aged just 15 playing in 3 fixtures. Michael started in 10 fixtures during the successful South West Youth Alliance campaign and Merit League 1 fixtures of 2015-16. At 16 years of age he was invited to an England Goal keeping training camp and also had great deal of exposure to first team training with goal keeping coach Rhys Wilmot.

Michael has given some very dominant performances in Youth Alliance/ Merit League and Peninsula fixtures gaining a well-balanced amount of game time exposing him to both Youth and Men’s football. During 2017-18 season. He made his League debut away to Blackburn Rovers coming on as a replacement for the injured Kyle Letheren . Michael was part of the successful under eighteens squad last season in the FA Youth Cup performing to a high standard, he made significant contributions when the team overcame Manchester City in a penalty shoot-out.

Manager Derek Adams awarded Michael a two-year professional contract for this 2018-19 season. Early this season Michael has been once again called up for another England goalkeeping training camp at St Georges Park.
