A PLYMOUTH lad, Adam Randell has made the most of the opportunities presented to him, having only just signed professional terms in the summer of 2019.
In the first friendly match of Ryan Lowe’s Argyle tenure, he handed academy graduate Randell the captain’s armband, which he would do two further times during pre-season - against Buckland Athletic and Tavistock.
A midfielder with an eye for a killer pass, Randell made his first-team debut as a second-year apprentice during the Pilgrims’ 2018-19 EFL Trophy campaign, in a 2-0 defeat away at Newport County. He also featured heavily in Argyle’s Premier League Cup campaign that season, which included a 4-1 win over the reigning champions Aston Villa at Home Park.
Deployed primarily as a holding midfielder in Ryan Lowe’s 3-5-2 system, Randell will wear the number 20 shirt.
