THE MANCHESTER-BORN midfielder joined Argyle in January 2017 from Shrewsbury Town.

Sarce, known for his lung-busting engine and attacking drive, was instrumental for the Pilgrims in his first season, helping the Greens win promotion to Sky Bet League One. The midfielder remained a key player as Argyle secured an impressive seventh-place finish the following season, playing through the pain of injury on several occasions.

Antoni began his career at his boyhood club, Manchester City, before joining Woodley Sports in 2009. He got a move back into the Football League with Crewe in 2010, before he joined Chester on loan, which eventually became permanent. An impressive 15 goals in 60 appearances saw him move to upwardly mobile Fleetwood Town in 2013.

The last of his goals for the Cod Army was a 75th minute free-kick against Burton at Wembley in the Sky Bet League Two play-off final. It was the only goal of the game.

A further 12 appearances followed for Shrewsbury in 2016, before Sarcevic joined the Pilgrims.
