RYAN Lowe’s final signing of the summer window was a player who was once his team-mate at Crewe Alexandra.
George Cooper progressed through the ranks of Crewe’s Academy and was rewarded by being handed a three-year deal. He made his debut for the Railwaymen as a 17-year-old and scored his first goal for the club that season in a 2-1 win over Coventry City.
Over 120 appearances and 14 goals to boot, he caught they eye of Peterborough United in 2018 and made an instant impression at Posh, scoring on his debut for his new club in a 3-0 victory over Oldham Athletic.
The 22-year-old made 21 appearances for United in League One last term but arrives at Home Park on loan after Lowe expressed his long-term admiration for Cooper.
