Return Of The Mac?

A DEAL to bring Alex MacDonald back to Home Park for a third, permanent, time, has been agreed but only if the finances cane be resolved, according to Argyle Carl Fletcher.

“He wants to come; we want him here - verbally, it’s all done” said Fletch about the Burnley forward who spent the first few months of this season on loan at Home Park. “We have just to wait on the finances.

“We have got nothing to play with at the moment and we have got to see where we go with that.

“Like any business, you have got to run it properly. With all the trouble we have had over the past few years, there’s no point in throwing money about.

“We a football club with great traditions and we want to be here for hundreds and hundreds of years in the future, so we have got to make sure the finances are done in the right way.

“I’m sure the fans appreciate that and understand.”

Finances will also dictate whether Joe Lennox and Isaac Vassell will be able to sign an extension to their current six-month deal that expires this month.

“From a footballing side, we want to keep them,” said Fletch.

“We want to see how Vass develops; he’s still coming into himself a little bit and growing.

“We see something there with him, and, obviously, Joey can produce stuff for us.

“It’s just down to finances now.”
