President's Progress 13/07
13th July 2012
ARGYLE president Chris Webb addresses an open letter to supporters ahead of the forthcoming Plymouth Argyle Supporters' Board elections.
DEAR SupportersFurther to the announcement of the 10 candidates in the forthcoming PASB Elections (see below), the club has been working to agree an election process.
From the very start of the PASB process, the club has been very keen to be supportive of the formation of the Board but totally independent from any involvement with the election discussions.
With this in mind, it has been decided that the best course of action would be for a completely independent body to hold the PASB election.
This will cover the sending out of election addresses/ballot papers; the returning of them; and the whole scrutiny of the election.
The instruction for whoever runs the election will be that it should as close to the kick-off of the new season as is possible.
The club is awaiting feedback from organisations such as the Electoral Reform Society prior to agreeing which company to use.
Given the feedback that we have received, we are confident that a formal announcement on the PASB election will be made by the club by no later than Friday, July 20.
Regards
Chris Webb
