Back Up
19th October 2012
GETTING Argyle back up to full strength could be key for a successful closing few months of the season.
Every team in any league needs a strong backbone of players to last the length of the campaignWhich is why Pilgrims’ veteran central midfielder Paul Wotton has been under the knife this week.
Argyle manager Carl Fletcher explained: “He’s had a back operation this week.
“We just want to take it nice and slow with him and make sure he is alright.”
“He could start training in December.”
Many people can understand that most footballers agree that the game takes its toll on the body.
Carl said: “All footballers’ backs are older than they are. Even mine. I’ve had a few problems with my back. It’s quite a common thing.”
“Wotts is very professional with his work - his stretches and exercises to keep himself fit.
“[The injury] has gone on a bit too much and we are just going to try and correct that with a little bit of help.”
