Happy Memories For Young

ARGYLE midfielder Luke Young is looking forward to returning to the scene of past glories this weekend, even if it take him and his team-mates all day to get there.

After the best part of a month with no significant traveling, the Pilgrims hit the road this weekend for a npower League 2 encounter at faraway Morecambe.

It was at the Globe Arena that Argyle ended their away campaign last season, when Luke, 19, scored in a 2-2 draw.

“It brings back good memories,” he said “The performance that we had last year when we went there was a good, steady performance.”

Not bad after eight hours on the road.

“It’s the other end of the world, basically,” said Luke, “but everywhere we go is going to be a long journey.

“We just try and take it as it. You just have to go with it and try and prepare yourself as much as you can for the game.

“You try to do whatever you can to pass the time and try not to think of how long it is.

“You sit with people and chat and talk about anything; you listen to music; you watch DVD; you watch the telly.

“We have a quiz on the way to Paul, the physio, sorts out for us. That kind of passes a couple of hours.”
