Super Anto Drops In

TWO young Argyle fans have received a visit from our very own superman Anthony O'Connor.

Pilgrims midfielder Anthony O'Connor took a break from preparations for Saturday's huge match against Tranmere to pop round to Leon and Jack Childs' house to surprise the boys and play some football with them after hearing about their bravery to face their illness.

The boys, who have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, wore their Superman t-shirts in a recent edition of The Herald,  and when the Argyle team saw the story they were warmed by Leon and Jack's courage to battle against their ill health. The lads decided it would be appropriate for Anthony, who displayed a Superman jersey of own when scoring against Northampton in March, to go round and pass on their best wishes - and a few gifts, including tickets to Saturday's game.

"The lads were touched to read in the Herald about Leon and Jack’s bravery." said Anthony “We just wanted to let them know we think they are really special young men. They are our heroes.”
