Dougie Anderson
29th June 2015
THE funeral has taken place of former Pilgrim Dougie Anderson.
Dougie, a winger at Home Park in the late 1980s, passed away suddenly, aged 51, on June 15.
Argyle were represented at his funeral service by Academy manager and former team-mate Kevin Hodges. Leigh Cooper and Tommy Tynan were among other former Pilgrims also present at the service held at Weston Mill Cemetery and Crematorium to remember Dougie, who played 22 times for Argyle in 1987-88.
"We are always sad to hear of the passing of a member of the Argyle family," said club Chief Executive Martyn Starnes, "especially one as young as Dougie.
“Many of his former team-mates fondly remember their days playing with him at Home Park, and the thoughts of everyone at Home Park are with Dougie's family and friends at this sad time."
