TOMMY Tynan, Darren Purse, Paul Wotton and Romain Larrieu will all be permanent fixtures in Home Park’s Devonport end this season.Huge stylised pictures of the four Argyle giants will adorn the walls of the entrance to Blocks 3 and 4 as part of a Forza Verde summer facelift.
The murals are the brainchild of fans’ group Forza Verde 1886, who have been working hard to bring their ‘home’ in Blocks 3 and 4 to life for the coming year.
New flags, displays and chants are also planned in a bid to make Home Park supportive of the boys in Green – and hostile to the opposition.
Forza Verde have been working closely with the club all summer and have selected Tommy, Darren, Paul and Romain to represent a mixture of Argyle legends, cult heroes and leaders of the current side.
Club President and founder of FV1886 Chris Webb said: “The feedback on the draft designs has been extremely positive and we hope that supporters will enjoy the final product.
“Personally, I hope that sponsors will see the impact that these designs will have and we are able to spread the idea across the ground at some point whilst gaining additional monies for Argyle.
“The FV1886 committee has worked very hard during the summer and I think the supporters will be impressed with what they see and hear on August 18.
“The murals are planned for installation on August 10 so we are hopeful that they will be in place for the start of the new season.
“Thanks go to Ian Newell, for assisting with the organisation of the murals; Nik of PASOTI, for his kind funding once again; and Darren James, for his innovative design work.”
