In The Treatment Room...

ARGYLE manager John Sheridan will have one eye on the treatment room as the Pilgrims complete their final week of trianing before the Sky Bet League 2 kick-off.

Guy Branston, Andres Gurrieri and Rommy Boco all missed out on Saturday's game with Yeovil, while Marvin Morgan and Andre Blackman suffered knocks during the game.

However, the manager expressed his optimism that the majority will come through before the trip to Essex.

John said: “I thought fitness wise we improved from MK Dons, so we’ll have another week of improving our discipline and team shape, and we’ll hopefully take it into the Southend game.

“It was a good workout. There’s one or two with little knocks and what have you, but I’m confident everyone will be near enough fit next week.

“A few players got a full game under their belt, it won’t for them any harm, and fitness-wise we’re looking stronger.

“They’ll all running in training and doing everything other than ball work. Hopefully one or two of them will be back.

“There was one or two of them that got little knocks today. Marvin’s got a little shoulder injury but he should be ok. Andre’s got a bit of a dead leg; we’ll see how he is. Other than that everyone’s ok.”
