The White Hart

IT is a snowy scene at Hartlepool's Victoria Park ground today...

...but we have been assured by our hosts this weekend that ground staff are working hard and there are no immediate concerns over Saturday’s game.

Despite high winds on Wednesday, staff managed to cover the key areas of the playing surface and have spent the morning clearing around one and a half inches of snow from these before re-placing the covers.

With temperatures set to rise on Friday, snow is expected to thaw. Pools groundsman Dave Brown said he would be keeping a close eye on the forecast.

“We’re not too concerned at the moment and the forecast is for the temperature to go up which should help us,” he told the Hartlepool club website.

“There is some work ahead for us between now and the weekend but as long as the weather doesn’t take any unexpected turns for the worse then there should be no problem.”

We will remain in frequent close contact with Hartlepool throughout the build up to the game, and will notify supporters of any further developments.
