If Accrington Stanley were a band they would be... The Kooks - 'Kook' meaning mad or eccentric, and the former certainly describes Stanley's summer so far, with John Coleman bringing in nine new players and sending ten the other way. Both the Kooks and Accrington Stanley burst onto the scene in 2006, and since then have put themselves on the map, with this year marking a decade in the Football League for Stanley and the same period of time since winning the award for best UK and Ireland act at the MTV Awards for the Kooks. Since their breakthroughs, both have achieved stability, giving them something to sing about.
