THE latest in our series of looks at 2015-16 Sky Bet League 2 rivals sees us glance up the M5 with a roving eye...

Last season: 2nd, Conference Premier, 91 pts
Manager: Darrell Clarke
Nickname: The Pirates
When we play them: home - Saturday, September 19; away - Saturday, January 23
Last time we met: (League 2 2013-14) home - W 1-0; away - L 2-1
Ins: James Clarke (Woking); Jermaine Easter (Millwall); Chris Lines (Port Vale); Christian Montana (America De Cali)
Outs: Angelo Balanta (Carlisle United); Adam Monkhouse (Grimsby Town)

If Bristol Rovers were a random object they would be... A boomerang. Rovers came back at the first time of asking last season. You may feel it was down to luck that they returned, beating Grimsby Town in a penalty shoot-out at Wembley, but they helped themselves by being in the right shape at the right time, which really gave them a chance to fly. Last season was their first outside the Football League since 1920, so they are now back where they belong, making themselves the first team to bounce straight back from relegation to the Conference since 2005.
