Argyle v Oxford - Team News

BEN Purrington makes his first league start of the season as Argyle meet Oxford United at Home Park.

The 19-year-old has made eight substitute appearances, as well as starting a game in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy against Exeter. Coincidentally, Ben made his debut as a 17-year-old against Oxford on Boxing Day 2013. 

On Argyle's bench is 16-year-old Jordan Bentley, brother of former Pilgrim Aaron. First-year apprentice, a defender, Jordan is featured in a match-day squad for the first time. 

Argyle: 23 Luke McCormick, 2 Kelvin Mellor, 3 Gary Sawyer, 5 Curtis Nelson, 6 Peter Hartley, 8 Josh Simpson, 9 Reuben Reid, 10 Graham Carey, 11 Gregg Wylde, 14 Jake Jervis, 16 Ben Purrington. Substitutes: 7 Daniel Nardiello, 15 Tyler Harvey, 21 James Bittner, 24 Louis Rooney, 27 Craig Tanner, 29 Jordan Bentley.
