Bienvenue Vincent

ARGYLE have signed free agent Vincent Dorel.

Vincent, a French goalkeeper, has put pen to paper after a short trial at Home Park. The 23-year-old can join Argyle on a permanent deal having been released from former club Poiré sur Vie prior to the closure of the transfer window.

Dorel, 23, spent 11 years at French Ligue 1 club Stade Rennais, before moving on to Les Herbiers, GSI Pontivy and most recently Poiré sur Vie. Much of his time has been spent in Le Championnat National, the French equivalent of League 1. Poiré sur Vie were relegated to the equivalent of the English National League last season because of financial sanctions, and Vincent was released.

Vincent spent several months training with Fleetwood Town earlier this season, and has also trained with Poiré sur Vie to retain his sharpness.

He has been given the number 31 shirt at Argyle, and he follows on the tradition of French goalkeepers at Argyle. Living club legend Romain Larrieu made 318 appearances between the sticks for Argyle between 2000 and 2012. If Vincent is anywhere near as good at Romain, he too will be loved by the Green Army!

Bienvenue, Vincent.
