The Kids Are Alright

DEREK Adams cannot understand why more of the Pilgrims’ young professionals and Academy graduates do not attract more attention from local clubs.

He said: “I have been surprised, for a number of years, why clubs don’t come to us for our younger players – we should have more younger players going out on loan. 

“It’s not for the want of trying. It’s been down to various managers not taking our players – that’s something we have to try and change. 

“From my point of view, we have got to continue trying to work with them.”
