Grant's Tower
AS a part of the signing of Josh Grant from Chelsea, Tower Cabs have snapped up the new number 25 under a sponsorship deal.
The taxi firm have been part of the sponsoring players initiative at Home Park for almost 15 years, including some very recognisable names.
Peter Bresland, managing director of Tower Cabs, is delighted to be a sponsor for another season here at Argyle.
“I have been a supporter of Plymouth Argyle for around 50 years and Tower Cabs have been a part of sponsoring players since 2004,” said Peter.
“As the taxi number is ‘[01752] 252525’, we always like to sponsor the player with the 25 shirt if we can.
“Last year it was Scott Wootton, in previous years it has been players such as Jamie Mackie, Dan Gosling and even Gary Sawyer back in 2006.
“We were contacted by the commercial team and they said that [Josh Grant] was arriving today, and was going to have the number 25 shirt, so we obviously jumped at the chance.”
Over the past 15 years, Tower Cabs have not just sponsored players, but have also been sponsors or involved with other sides of the club.
“In the past we have had [advertising] boards in the stand,” said Peter. “We sponsored the Argyle Angels and we are going to be a part of sponsoring the Pioneers for the upcoming season.
“Tower Cabs have had a long association with Plymouth Argyle and we are delighted to be sponsoring such a great player.
“I, personally, am looking forward to the new season with much excitement, under the new management.”
