Gaffer Flying the Flag

ARGYLE manager Ryan Lowe is helping to fly the Green flag after making a personal donation to PAFC Displays in their acquisition of a brand new feature for the Devonport end.

Nick Tomlinson of PAFC Displays, a group of proud Pilgrims dedicated to creating a special atmosphere at Home Park, will use the contribution from Ryan to help fund the purchase of brand new flag that will hopefully grace the Theatre of Greens in the opening home game of the new campaign.

It is estimated that the new flag will cost just over £2,000 and PAFC Displays are already over halfway to reaching their goal. Find out more by visiting the PAFC Displays website.

Nick said: “So far, the fans have raised £1,000 towards it. The plan, hopefully, is to have a flag, which will stretch all the way from block one to the vehicle entrance.

“It’s a great gesture from Ryan to donate some money, especially with the situation he has just come from at Bury, where the staff were not being paid. “

The gaffer added: “Of course I wanted to help out, if I can do something to make the atmosphere better around Home Park, then I will do. I think it will get the place rocking and that will help us.“

PAFC Displays have flourished in the last few seasons and become an integral part of our match-day experience, creating banners, flags and contributing to the fantastic atmosphere at Home Park.

“The Play-Off semi-final, when we beat Portsmouth, we finalized it that season,” said Nick. That’s when the group got its own bank account, it was official then.

“Everything we do, we organise through the club, so that the club knows about it. We have got our own website, people can donate through that, we have got a donate button, which is through PayPal.”
