Randell Loan Extended

Argyle midfield prospect Adam Randell’s loan to National League leaders Torquay United has been extended until January.

The Pilgrims’ Academy graduate has featured in every league fixture for the Gulls since joining on an initial month’s loan, and he scored a stunning long-range equaliser on his first start in the come-from-behind 2-1 victory at Bromley on 10 October.

That win was the first of a run of five successive victories for Gary Johnson's Plainmoor outfit, with Randell starting every one.

The promising midfielder made his Argyle debut in the EFL Trophy defeat at Newport County in 2018, impressing new manager Ryan Lowe enough to be handed the captain's armband for the Pilgrims’ pre-season fixture at Truro City ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

Adam, 20, made 8 appearances across all competitions during the Greens’ promotion-winning season, and was named in the match-day squad for all but four games during the Pilgrims’ Sky Bet League Two 19/20 campaign.
