Primarily a central defender, but able to play in a variety of positions, Jack has been with Argyle since Under-10s. Matthews, from Newquay, played regular Under-18s football in the 2022/23 season and was rewarded with valuable first-team experience, making appearances consistently in the Pilgrims' pre-season campaign for 2023/24.
