City Security
Argyle have agreed a two-year partnership with City Security as the club’s Official Security Partner.
The partnership will be multi-faceted aiming to improve customer service and match day safety at Home Park Stadium, and support upskilling and provide opportunities for City Security staff to become engaged with the fan base.
Alongside that, the partnership will provide a chance to engage with the local community, with several key projects launching in collaboration with Argyle Community Trust.
The first of these will be the ‘Veterans Conversation Club’ which will aim to create a weekly safe and consistent space to support Plymouth’s underrepresented Veteran community.
Each session, hosted at Manadon Sports Hub, will provide Argyle staff a unique environment to deliver a breadth of learning experiences covering education and training, personal development, health, and wellbeing.
Argyle Head of Venue, Hospitality and Events Christian Kent commented on the partnership: “We are delighted to agree a new two-year contract with City Security which will see them become the club’s Official Security Partner.
“This partnership will be more than just ensuring the match day safety of Home Park Stadium and its visitors. It will see a genuine commitment from City Security to Plymouth and its community that will make a difference to people’s lives.
“We always want to partner with organisations with similar values to Argyle, and in City Security we have found just that.”
Dwain Morgan, Argyle Community Trust Head of Business and Impact, added: “We’d like to extend our thanks to City Security Plymouth for their charitable support.
“Through this partnership, we’ll be able to launch a new Veteran-specific sport project that promotes health, wellbeing, and new friendships from our Manadon Sports Hub.
“We look forward to welcoming their staff to these new sessions, and to making a meaningful difference across our local communities.”
Tony Merrick, City Security Managing Director, concluded: “We are both excited and proud to be partners with Plymouth Argyle Football Club on this project.
“As an employer of a large amount of ex armed services staff, this fits in with our values as a company, and our commitment to the armed forces covenant.
“We believe that this new project will be an excellent platform for service members transitioning into civilian lifestyles."
