ARGYLE striker Rhys Griffiths will sit out the start of Argyle’s npower League 2 campaign.

The 32-year-old summer signing from Port Talbot damaged his calf in training ion the eve of the Pilgrims’ midweek Capital One Cup victory over Portsmouth.

“He had a scan and it’s going to be a couple of weeks,” said manager Carl Fletcher. “It’s not as bad as it could be, but I am still disappointed.

“It’s tough for Rhys. He’s raring to go, chomping at the bit.

“We will make sure he’s 100% right and recovered properly before he comes back.”
