Ladjie To Leave
30th August 2012
ARGYLE midfielder Ladjie Soukouna will be allowed to leave Home Park if he can find another club.
Manager Carl Fletcher has told the 21-year-old Frenchman that he does not feature in the club’s plans and has circulated his availability to other clubs.“It’s probably part of the management job that I’ve not experienced too much in my time,” said Fletch, of his decision to let Ladjie depart after one season at Home Park.
“It’s quite a funny feeling, telling players that they are not part of your plans at your club.
“It’s only one person’s opinion, at the end of the day. It’s only my opinion. It’s not to say they are bad players.
“It’s just that, for what we need here and what’s required, we need to look at ways of getting players and to generate that money first.”
Ladjie was signed for Argyle by previous manager Peter Reid in July last year after being released by French Championnat National side US Créteil-Lusitanos.
He made his debut on the opening day of last season in the 1-1 draw at Shrewsbury Town and scored his first and only Pilgrims’ goal two months later in a 2–2 Home Park draw with Accrington Stanley.
He has made 22 appearances for Argyle in total, five as substitute, although only seven of those starts were after Fletch became manager.
On Tuesday, he was omitted from the 20-strong party that travelled to Burnley for the Capital One Cup tie.
