Bridport 4 Argyle XI 1

ARGYLE's youngsters failed to follow up Saturday's victory at Callington as they found Bridport too strong for them in the second half of this pre-season friendly at St Mary's Field.

Kevin Hodges and Gary Owers took their youngsters to Dorset to face a very strong side who play their football in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division.
Chris Clarke gave Bridport a 20th minute lead but Argyle were level before the break when second-year apprentice Tyler Harvey once again showed his attacking attributes.
The Plymouth-born striker took on the Bridport defence before sending a fine lob over the advancing keeper from the angle of the box.
But the second half saw Bridport's experience and superior physical attributes come to the fore with Matt Condliffe scoring twice before Danny Peart's 30 yard lob completed the evening's scoring.
