Fletch Waits For Replay

NICK Chadwick was on the receiving end of a red card during Argyle’s 5-0 defeat to Yeovil Town.

Chadwick was embroiled in an off-the-ball incident with Yeovil defender Richard Hinds just before half-time, resulting in the striker’s marching orders.
Unfortunately for Chadwick, the punishment does not end there, because unless the club appeal the decision, he will now miss the first three matches of Argyle’s season, starting with the Capital One Cup tie with Portsmouth on August 14.
Manager Carl Fletcher insisted he hadn’t seen the incident.
“I didn’t see it myself but we will have a look at the video and we’ll take it from there,” he said.
“I’m very, very disappointed, though. “I haven’t spoken to him yet but I will do.”
Despite Chadwick’s pending absence from Argyle’s opening fixtures, Fletcher insists the club won’t rush out and buy another striker.
“What’s happened today has had no bearing on what we are doing,” he said.
“You don’t have to play with a target man. You can play in other ways.
“Sometimes you are able to do it and sometimes not. We won’t rush, we’ll just see how things go.”
