Just The Ticket
16th July 2012
TICKETS for all of Argyle's August fixtures go on sale from Monday, and there is good news for club Members and non-Members alike.
• Supporters who have Joined the Club will be able to take advantage of a fantastic exclusive Members only offer for the pre-season friendlies against Birmingham City and Preston North End• Those fans who have yet to Join the Club will have to pay no more than last season to watch an npower League game following the Pilgrims' decision to freeze the price of match-day admission to Home Park at 2011-12 levels.
• All supporters will benefit from a pricing reduction for Argyle's first competitive home match of the new season, the Capital One Cup-tie against Portsmouth on Tuesday, August 14.
Admission for the eagerly-anticipated resumption of the Battle of the Ports will be just £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
The same reduced prices apply to the pre-season games against Birmingham, on Saturday, August 4, and Preston, on Wednesday, August 8.
However, the Pilgrims are offering all 2012-13 Members the chance to watch both friendly matches at a discount of 25% - anyone who buys a ticket for one game, will be able to buy another for the second match at half-price.
The 'Buy One Get One Half-Price' offer means an adult Member can see both the Birmingham and Preston games for £15, instead of £20, with concessionary prices dropping from £10 to £7.50.
Any members who have not received their Membership card before they wish to buy their tickets can still claim the discount at the Home Park Ticket Office, where staff will be able to check their credentials.
The offer is not available on line and only up until noon on the day of the Birmingham game, Saturday, August 4.
Argyle kick-off the npower League 2 season two weeks after the Birmingham visit, when Aldershot come to town, and tickets for that game are also on sale from Monday.
Match-day ticket prices for the Shots' visit - and for all npower League 2 fixtures in the coming season - have been frozen at last season's prices:
• Adult £20
• Senior citizen (65+) £15
• Under 18 £7
• Family ticket (1 adult and 1 under18) £25
Although great value for money, the cost of a ticket bought on a match-by-match basis for the whole season is considerably higher than the cost of buying a full Membership.
A full adult Membership allows fans admission to matches at less than £15 a game over the season - an effective saving of more than £5 per match, and it is even cheaper for concessions.
