Lighting A Spark

FOLLOWING Sunday’s defeat to Dorchester, Carl Fletcher wanted nothing more than to bury his head under his pillow; instead, he took his kids out for Bonfire Night.

He said: “Any time you’re disappointed, you have a period of mourning. I had the hump on Monday and I wanted to get my head under the duvet and lock all of the doors.

“However, I went and took the kids to see some fireworks and saw the enjoyment that a few fireworks and a bonfire brought them, and it put things into perspective.

“You can get caught in this football bubble but seeing they’re smiling faces helped kick me into gear.

“At the end of the day we lost a game of football but we move on to the next game and make sure we continue together as a group.”
