Memory Avenue

ARGYLE face a trip to Dorchester Town today in the FA Cup first round and the Avenue stadium is a familiar one to Pilgrims boss Carl Fletcher.

Fletch made nine appearances for Bournemouth at the venue in the 2001-02 season as the Cherries’ home was being redeveloped and it is a ground that he knows a lot about.

“I was there years ago when Dean Court was getting rebuilt.

"We had to use Dorchester’s ground for our first-team games for a couple of months.

"I know it well and there were quite a few ties between Bournemouth and Dorchester when I was down there.”

Bournemouth won five of the nine matches played in Dorset's county town, most notably a 4-2 win over Notts County on October 27, 2001 that Fletch grabbed a goal in.
