President's Progress - PASB Results

IN an open letter, Argyle president Chris Webb reveals the results of the recent Plymouth Argyle Supporters Board elections.

Dear Supporters,

Please find below the result for the Plymouth Argyle Supporters Board Election.

Given the fact that the ballot was held by post and the PASB is a truly ground-breaking initiative, the turnout and level of engagement with the Green Army is fantastic.

To add some context, postal elections normally far lower turnouts than 33% and the Police Commissioner elections which will take place next week are ‘hoping’ to get above 15%.

The full breakdown of the ballot from the ERS is copied below. The results are published exactly as per ERS Rules however there is one slight change to the elected individuals. During the election period, John Petrie withdrew his candidature. This means that the next unsuccessful candidate Gary Pollock will join the PASB.

On this basis the six elected members to the first ever PASB are:

JON BACK
JON SPARKES
EDMUND SHILLABEER
PHIL JOHNS
TONY HOOPER
GARY POLLOCK

The only thing left to do now, prior to the official formation of the PASB, is for the supporters’ groups to submit the names of their PASB delegates to the club.

We already have the following information

Exile Supporters Group Representative – Mark Edwards

London Branch Representative – Lee Jameson

This leaves the only gap as three delegates for the Argyle Fans’ Trust and one between the Plymouth and Cornish Branches.

If these Branches could forward their delegates details to Head of Communications, Rick Cowdery by no later than noon on Friday, November 2, then the historical first PASB meeting can be called as soon as possible after this date.

Finally, thank you to every candidate that has taken part in the election and congratulations to those that were successful.

You now carry the great responsibility of representing the best supporters in the world. Good luck.

As soon as the supporters’ group nominations are in place a further update will be cascaded.
