Bristol's Big

ARGYLE defender Robbie Williams is in no doubt about the importance of the Pilgrims’ home npower League 2 match against Bristol Rovers this week.

“We have got a massive game on Tuesday which we have to win,” he said, following Saturday’s 3-1 Home Park defeat by Port Vale.

“I’m glad we’ve got a game on Tuesday to put things right, instead of grinding out a week where everybody’s down in the dumps.”

Rovers were turned over at League 2 leaders Gillingham on Saturday and Robbie expects that will affect the Pirates’ approach to the match – which will, in turn, have a bearing on how Argyle go about things.

“They got beaten 4-0,” he said. “I can see their gaffer shutting shop up. It’s going to be tough; it’s going to be frustrating – it could be a good 60-70 minutes before we get a goal – but we have got to face that.

“It’ll be our aim to break them down.”
