Just Another Game For Lewi

ARGYLE forward Lewis Alessandra is looking forward to a return to former club Morecambe.

Lewis spent two seasons with the Shrimp, making over 60 starts, before arriving at Home Park at the beginning of this season.

"I'm excited," admitted Lewi. "But I know that it's just another game where we'll be going to go and put points on the board.

"It;s the first time that I've ever been back to a previous club.

"I'm not nervous. They were very good to me whilst I was there.

"It's just excitement really because when I left Oldham, they were in the league above so it'll be slightly different this time.

"I've got a lot of friends there still so I'll be looking forward to going back and trying to get the win."

Morecambe were knocked out of the Capital One Cup by Premier League Newcastle on  Wednesday evening and Lewi admits that he had some sympathy for his former team-mates.

He said: "I saw the second half and when Newcastle scored I was a bit disappointed for them.

"Hopefully, because they played 90 nights against a good side on Wednesday night, it can work in our favour.

"We'll be going there with a professional attitude, looking to play our own game."

Lewis opened his Argyle account with two stunning strikes against Birmingham City and has been an integral part of the team that has recorded back to back wins.

Despite this, Lewis stil lfeels he has more to give.

He said: "Apart from the goals at Birmingham, I don't feel I've had many chances.

"We've picked up since the two defeats at the beginning of the season. Performances have picked up, too, which was a big thing."
