Parrett To Return

DEAN Parrett will be given another chance to impress the Argyle coaching staff.

Dean, 21, featured for the Pilgrims in their 2-0 friendly defeat by Yeovil Town at Huish Park on Tuesday, three years after his Argyle debut.

The England youth international midfielder made 10 appearances for the Greens on loan from Tottenham Hotspur at the start of the 2010-11 League 1 season.

Pilgrims’ manager John Sheridan said: “He’s been here before; he’s got good ability and a good background; he’s a good footballer; he did okay in the game.

“I had a chat with him after the game to see what his thoughts are and if we can sort something out on whether he can come back and train with us next week.”

Dean’s original loan at Home Park was cut short by manager Peter Reid after he was sent off in a 4-0 home FA Cup first-round defeat by Swindon.

Since then, he has had loan spells at Charlton, Yeovil and Swindon prior to his release by Spurs in the summer.
