Mike the Ref

MICHAEL Bull, referee for this Saturday's home fixture against Bury, is in his first season as a Football League official.

In his ten games this season, he has shown 34 yellow cards and just one red, which came when he sent off Burton Albion defender Ian Sharps, as the Brewers lost 2-0 at home to Oxford United.

He has awarded two penalties this campaign; one each in the two cup matches he has officiated. He gave Hednesford Town a spot-kick in their 2-1 home loss to Crawley Town in the FA Cup, and another to Leyton Orient when they won 3-1 at Gillingham in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

This will be his first visit to Home Park.
