Shez's Youth Message

ARGYLE first-team manager John Sheridan says the club’s youth team can ‘believe in themselves’ ahead of their exciting FA Youth Cup third round tie with Aston Villa on Tuesday.

Kevin Hodges’ youngsters won 4-2 on penalty kicks at Colchester United in the previous round after the game finished 4-4 after extra time, and were rewarded with the chance to play Tuesday's plum tie at Villa Park.

“They got through the last round and showed a lot of courage, so they’ll go there and believe in themselves,” said John.

“It’ll be a very tough game. Villa are usually very tough to beat, and bring through some great players.

“It’s great for them to play at a stadium like Villa Park, it’ll be good for the lads.”
