Feeno On The Fix

ARGYLE manager John Sheridan hopes to see striker Warren Feeney again before the end of the season.

The Northern Irishman limped out of John’s first match in charge – the 2-1 home win over Morecambe – after just eight minutes but is now well on the road to recovery.

John said: “Warren is still bubbly and lively and he’s just stepping up his training. Everything is going really well for him.

“He’ll be working hard to try and get back before the end of the season. He’s a quick healer;  he works very hard; and he’ll want to get back to prove he’s worth a place in the side.”

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin and defender Curtis Nelson are also looking to step up their respective returns from injury

John said: “Rene is probably ten days away and Curtis has had a scan after he felt a little niggle in his groin so, again, ten days to two weeks.

“[Curtis’ injury is] probably going on a little longer than I thought but, again, he’s a lad who works very hard trying to get fit and he’ll know when it’s right.”
