Ark Help Out Community
9th January 2013
THE Argyle Football in the Community Trust, in partnership with the Green Taverners, have received a generous donation of £500 from Ark Pet Centres to support the Trust’s activities.
The Community Trust has been in operation since 1992 and interacts with over 40,000 people per year through a number of community initiatives such as soccer schools, education programmes, inclusion activities and many other provisions. The generous donation will allow the Community Trust to further enhance its Disability programme and sustain its current provision.
Community Manager Mark Lovell said: “We would like to thank Ark Pet Centres for the generous contribution.
“Through this fund we will be able to improve equipment and invest in some aids to assist players such as new wheelchair footballs."
Dave Burgess from Ark Pet Centres added: “We were asked by Gary from the Green Taverners if we could assist with some funding which we were delighted to do.
"It is important that the club reaches out to all parts of the community and hopefully our donation will help to do that, but also it is in appreciation of all the unpaid work that goes into keeping Argyle and it`s fans engaged and connected to the club.”
Through generous contributions like this, theh Argyle Football in the Community Trust aim to engage with even more people across the local community and help improve lives and access through sport.
We are proud of the work we carry out and appreciate the support of local businesses that allow the Trust to continue their work in the community.
