Gozie Brings Attacking Options
17th January 2013
ARGYLE manager John Sheridan hopes new signing Gozie Ugwo will help to bring some the club’s more creative players in the game.
The 19-year old striker has joined on a month’s loan from Reading having spent time at Yeovil Town earlier in the season.“Young Gozie...was very highly recommended by one or two people that I spoke to,” said John
“He’ll give us that little bit of extra height and pace which is the thing I’ve been looking for.
“I’m hoping he’s going to stretch the game for us. If he can do that, I think it will enable the likes of Paris, Baz, Ronan the opportunity to get in the game a bit more.
“He’s a big lad, he’s quick and he works the front line hard.
“He’s still learning the game. He’s a lovely, polite lad and he wants to come and play and score goals.
“[Reading] speak very highly of him.
“They accept, and I’m pleased they’ve given us the chance, that he needs to go out on loan and play football.
“He’s only 19 but it’s a very tough league, this. Hopefully he can cope with it and I’m sure he will.
“More than anything else, I hope he comes and scores a few goals to help us.”
