Futsal In Cornwall

ARGYLE'S Community Trust have teamed up with Carn Brea Leisure Centre Trust to provide the only professional Futsal Education Scholarship, right in the centre of Cornwall.

The centre, based in Pool, will provided a fully-funded educational course, which starts in September 2013 and will enable 16-19 year olds to qualify outside the traditional school or college setting.

Following successful completion of the course, students will have the chance to apply for five fully-paid apprenticeship placements and put themselves forward for future opportunities at Carn Brea.

As well as offering a clear pathway to University, the course will also provide coaching and employment opportunities within the local community.

If you are interested, please get in touch as soon as possible as there are only 17 funded places available.

The programme enables people from Cornwall the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications alongside playing in the National Futsal League against teams such as Southampton FC, Portsmouth FC and Reading FC all based at the national Futsal arenas.

All transportation to games programme is provided by the football club.

Whilst completing your studies you also have access to train on a daily basis with Plymouth Argyle FC coaches and also utilise the sports facilities at Carn Brea Leisure Centre.

To register or for more information please email Mike Foley, Development & Education Officer for Plymouth Argyle FC, at mike.foley@pafc.co.uk; call on 07812 523222; or attend the Open Day at Carn Brea on Saturday July 13th 2013, 11am-2pm.
