Royal Marines 3 Argyle Youth 3

ARGYLE'S youngsters gained a credible 3-3 draw in their first pre-season friendly against a strong Royal Marines side at CTC Lympstone.

Kevin Hodges' side found themselves 3-1 down before scoring twice in the last 15 minutes to earn their result.

The game exploded in to life midway through the first-half with four goals in a seven minute spell as the more physically advanced hosts took control of the game.

Josh Hutchinson pictured, equalised for the Pilgrims, within a minute of the home side taking the lead, cutting in from the right to place a low shot inside the near post.

Unfortunately, the home side hit back with two goals to go in at the break leading 3-1 but with 15 minutes remaining two 15-year-old substitutes, Jason Vincent and Jake Miller, gave their colleagues a lesson in the art of finishing.

Lively striker Vincent netted from close range before midfielder Miller struck a spectacular 25-yard drive into the top corner of the home goal to complete the scoring.
