Tavistock 1 Argyle XI 1

AN 88th minute equaliser earned Argyle's youngsters a deserved draw in their visit to Peninsula Premier side Tavistock.

Andrew Hannah (Tom McCabe, 80), Mason Hughes (Nathan Ewings 15), Callum Hall, Will Sargeant, Nathan Summers, Tom Moxham (Lambert Keise 78), Solomon Wheatley, River Allen, Louis Rooney, Keiran Asumuda-Sakyi (Ethan Stark 78), Joshua Hutchinson. Argyle:

Argyle's late equaliser came two minutes from time when Rooney sent a precise pass through for lively substitute Ethan Stark who round the home 'keeper Adam Fuller before netting from 10 yards.

The second half was three minutes old when Argyle midfielder Joshua Hutchinson struck the far post with an angled drive from 12 yards but it was Tavistock who were to take the lead on 52 minutes when substitute Carlton Farnham raced through a static Argyle defence to beat Hannah with a low shot from 15 yards with virtually his first touch of the game.

The hosts retaliated, almost immediately, but Argyle 'keeper Andrew Hannah comfortably saved Ian Rooke's close range shot.

Argyle's 16-year-old apprentice striker Louis Rooney forced a fine diving save out of the home keeper with a fiercely struck 15 yard drive.

Both teams endeavoured to play good passing football on a lush Langsford Park surface but it was not until a minute before the break that the first real scoring opportunity arrived.
