YEOVIL Town and Milton Keynes Dons will provide the opposition for Argyle’s two Home Park pre-season friendlies.League 1 MK visit the Theatre of Greens on Sunday, July 21, before newly-promoted Championship side Yeovil arrive six days later on Saturday, July 27.
Both matches kick-off at 3pm.
Argyle have a 100% record over MK Dons, having beaten them twice in the only two games between the two sides.
In January 2011, the Pilgrims ran out 3-1 winners at stadium:mk, thanks to stunning strikes from Onismor Bhasera, Kári Árnason and Chris Clark.
In the return fixture at Home Park just three months later, Argyle prevailed again, with Simon Walton grabbing the only goal in a 1-0 victory.
Yeovil recently promoted to English football's second tier for the first time, have more recent history with Argyle.
Last season, the Pilgrims began their pre-season preparations against the Glovers and were soundly beaten 5-0 at Dorchester Town's Avenue Stadium.
Competitively, the Greens have met the Greens five times, but just once at Home Park.
That was in a 0-0 npower League 1 draw on New Year’s Day 2011. Pilgrims' living legend Paul Wotton was among the Glovers starting XI.
Ticket details for both games will be announced in the coming weeks.
The announcement completes Argyle’s 2013-14 pre-season fixture-list.
They begin their 2013-14 pre-season campaign at Elburton Villa on Tuesday, July 9. The match against the South West Peninsula League side at their Haye Road ground will kick off at 7.30pm.
Four days later, on Saturday, July 13, they visit Evo-Stik League Southern South & West Division side Tiverton Town for a 3pm kick-off.
Manager John Sheridan will then take his first team to Twerton Park to face Conference South Bath City on Tuesday, July 16.
The Pilgrims’ Development Squad begin their close-season matches with a game at South West Peninsula League Torpoint Athletic on Wednesday, July 10 .
They then play at Callington Town, Truruo City, Saltash United, Bideford and Tavistock before winding up their pre-season preparations at Clevedon Town on Tuesday, July 30.
