No Thrills

ARGYLE midfielder Lee Cox does not excite John Sheridan, and that is just fine by the Pilgrims’ gaffer.

Lee, 22, has become a steady Eddie fixture in the Argyle engine-room since joining on loan from Swindon for the remainder of the season.

He has also, according to John, brought a freshness to the training-ground.

“He’s a good lad,” said John.   “He’s good in training – he gets the lads going; he can be quite funny when he wants to be.

“He’s settled in okay. He’s getting more match-fitness.  I usually know what he’s going to give me on a match-day. If you’ve got seven or eight of those in your team...

“You won’t be getting excited by him, but you know he’s doing a good job for the team, a steady job, and that’s what he’s done since he’s been here.”
